Marc is the Founder and CEO at People Edge Consulting Limited.
Marc has over 20 years’ experience in the field of Human Resources Management and Development gained from practice and professional development. He has led engagements in areas of HR Audits , HR Metrics, Competency Assessment , Organizational Culture Audits, Job Evaluation, Performance Management Systems and HR Transformation for clients both in public and private sector.
Prior to joining People Edge Consulting Ltd., Marc was the Chief HR Officer (HR Director) for Mumias Sugar Company Ltd., where he led the Turn – Around Teams’ initiatives with a focus on HR and Organizational due diligence and restructuring programs. Prior to joining Mumias Sugar Company, Marc was the Head of Human Capital & Administration at Kenya Tourism Board. While at KTB, Marc was appointed to Chair the HR Sub – Committee of the overall KIETA Committee merger team members which was charged with the responsibility of merging Kenya Tourism Board, Kenya Investment Authority, Export Promotion Council, Kenya Year Book Editorial Board and Brand Kenya Board into one Agency called Kenya Investment, Exports & Tourism Agency (KIETA). The Committee was mandated to focus on the human capital implications of the merger whose outcomes included but not limited to; a recommended optimum staff establishment coupled with a reward and remuneration structure, harmonized Terms & Conditions of Service and a new organizational structure for the new entity.
Prior to joining KTB, he was the Deputy Director- HR & Administration at the Interim Independent & Boundaries Review Commission where he played a key role in the development of the Commission’s optimum staff establishment, attracted and recruited the requisite talent and developed and implemented a Human Resources Policy & Procedures Manual for IIBRC; and worked for the Retirement Benefits Authority, a Pensions Regulatory Body where he held the position of Human Capital Development & Administration Manager. Prior to joining RBA, he worked for Kenya Wine Agencies Ltd. as the HR & Administration Manager, where he conducted a Job Evaluation project which resulted into a new job grading and salary structure. He has also worked for Consolidated Bank of Kenya, where he was the Human Resources & Admin Manager. Previously, Marc had a nine-year stint at Kenya Revenue Authority where he rose through the ranks to the post of Human Resources Manager in charge of the Income Tax Department. He started his career in the Civil Service with the Ministry of Transport & Infrastructure as a Personnel Officer.
Marc holds a Master of Science Degree in Human Resources from the University of Manchester (UK) and a Bachelor of Arts Degree from the University of Nairobi. He holds a Higher Diploma in Human Resources Management from the College of Human Resources Management (K). He is a member of IHRM (K) and an Associate Member of CIPD (UK). He is also a Certified HR Practitioner. Marc loves travelling and has been able to travel to France, United Kingdom, Canada and Japan.
