A founding observation

The People Edge Consulting was founded on a simple but powerful observation:

Most organizations don't fail because of strategy. They fail because their people systems aren't aligned to deliver it.

  • Across Africa, organizations were investing heavily in talent, technology, and strategy
  • Yet still struggling with poor execution, leadership gaps, misaligned culture, and HR systems that didn't move results

The turning point

We recognized that traditional HR approaches were no longer sufficient. Organizations needed more than policies, recruitment, and training. They needed a system that connects people to performance.

At PEC, we redefined HR consulting by integrating four globally-validated capabilities into a single, coherent practice:

For over two decades, Marc has helped organizations unlock one of their most powerful sources of competitive advantage: their people. As one of East Africa's leading Human Capital, Organizational Development and Workforce Transformation advisors, his focus has always been the alignment of strategy, culture, leadership, capability and performance to deliver sustainable business results.

Before founding PEC in 2016, Marc held senior HR leadership roles including Chief Human Resources Officer at Mumias Sugar Company, Head of Human Capital & Administration at Kenya Tourism Board, and Deputy Director, Human Resources & Administration at the Interim Independent Boundaries Review Commission — leading major transformations across restructuring, talent management, succession planning, engagement, reward and culture.

Under his leadership, PEC has grown into a trusted advisory partner to boards, CEOs and development partners across Kenya, Tanzania, Rwanda, Uganda, Ethiopia, Zambia, South Sudan, Seychelles, Lesotho, Sierra Leone and beyond — spanning government, financial services, hospitality, manufacturing, utilities, DFIs, NGOs, education and regional intergovernmental bodies.
